Hargeisa(Horn)- A plane carrying 50 Somaliland youngsters was refused the permission to land at Egal International Airport. This is according to information our source revealed to the Horn Newspaper confirmed that the plane which had left Libya and transited in Mogadishu wanted offload the 50 Somaliland nationals however Egal International Airport control tower forced it back. The fifty Somaliland youths were samongst hundreds of youths freed from human traffickers and Libyan jails by the Somalia government.
The General Manager and the flight manager of Egal International Airport Mr.Mohammed Yusuf and Mr.Rodon respectively refused to allow the plane to land even though the families of the youths were at the airport waiting to receive their loved ones.
The captain of the plane told them that the plane had no enough fuel for the return flight to Mogadishu however the general manager of Egal Airport could not budge forcing the pilot to land in Garowe, the capital of Puntland administered region of Somalia.
According to reliable sources informed the Horn Newspaper that Mr. Mohammed Yusuf told the pilot that even if the plane explodes in mid-air he would not grant it permission to land at Egal International Airport.
The pilot of the plane had no otherwise other than to change cause and land at Garowe. Most of his passengers were in a bad state of health following their ordeal at the hands of human traffickers in Libya who are known for starving their guests. As we went to press the condition of the Somaliland youths in the plane was vague. This incident leaves a bad taste to the mouth of many parents as only last week Somaliland and Puntland fought a war at Tukaraq so Allah forbids when the young souls enter the enemy territory what might happen rhetorically is for you to decide.
