A Scary Future Shock On The Horizon

Yusuf Deyr

For me, Islam is my faith, Somaliland is first, and the philosophy of my party is justice to all. Appeasement to none. I am for truth, no matter who tells it. I am for justice, no matter who it’s for or against. I have not changed; I am still the same man I was fifty years ago, I still lust for life, and I am still very greatly independent. I still crave justice, and I fall madly in love easily. I believe that a secure and livable World lies with disciplined conformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood. There will be no equality until justice is blind to the label of the tribes, until education is unaware of the region of the school, until the big Pie divided evenly and equally among the Somaliland communities, freedom and democracy will be a proclamation but not a fact. If you see oppression of the poor and justice and righteousness trampled in a country, do not be around anymore, hit the road Jack and don’t come back. it will collapse very soon. Dear reader, I am deadly sure that this article will irritate some people for the love of a particular tribe. Some poor homeless people like me, will take it personal, or a direct attack to their tribe. But honest to God I am not aiming a particular tribe, and all my intention is to attack a wrongly privileged Class.

Dear reader, as a victim of anxiety, depression, and stress due to the death of my first wife. Plus the political hiccups of the big brother in our own oval – office. That created on me, vivid imagination of a future shock, and have led me to a free thinking and analytical philosophy, summed up involuntary questions hungry for fair answers. All the above mentioned factors triggered chemical reactions in my body, which can be led to inflammation and weakened my immune System. Finally, I realized that I had led by blind emotions, and had served foolishly all my life – span, as a puppet for the Mother – In – Law from hell ( Tribalism ) which we have already prepared it’s coffin but always survives all flood and fire. Lately asking myself; Who am I ? Not the body, because it is decaying, not the mind, because the brain will decay with the body.

Not the personality, nor the emotions, for these also will vanish with death. I am the Colony that rejected it’s independence in 1960. I am a naive, dumb and a dead looser. A narrow minded Nation who gambled with it’s independence and liberty and donated it as a charity gift. To an ungrateful bully Society, who walks on it’s arms and it’s stomach makes it’s ruling and judgment. A wild human beast who is wandering in a jungle where real values and principles have no meaning to him, and where the right of the mighty is working. Declared bankruptcy of all ethics, culture, lost the sense of reasoning and wise judgment. A wild animal in the shape and form of a human being. Dear reader, youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of will, quality of imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life and the ultimate will – power of each person. It is a freedom of body and soul. Alas ! l lost my golden age and time, in between the devil and the dead sea. I lost it in the grave of the white man’s Aid. That vampire in Mogadishu who burned my flesh long time ago, and they want now to crush my bones. I left there maimed, barefooted, holding some ragged clothes in a dusty handbag and dragging my feet like an injured deer. A walking dead with a grey head, it’s Rom – Memory full of nightmares and scary movies.

My dear reader, there will always be dark days. Negative emotions like broken love, lost of a beloved person, loneliness, envy, and guilt, which have an important role to play in our life. We must learn how to cope with. They are big, flashing light signs, telling us that something needs to change. Time is everything, man is nothing; he is just at the most time’s carcass ( The dead body of an animal ). We must live as if we were to die tomorrow, learn as if we were to live forever. Prayer is the key of my morning and the bolt of my evening. When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of Allah. President Musa Bihi, it is too early to blame you but I am here to remind you. Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. If anything is certain, it is that, soon, we would be divided into two classes. Those who have, and those who have not. There is a scary specter haunting Somaliland ‘s horizon, the specter of Capitalism.

Where a capitalist small portion of the society would enslave and dictate what they want to the poor silent majority of the masses. The poor will become more poorer and the wealthy will get more wealthier. So that, our kids would be enslaved by the kids of Dahabshill and by the kids of Ina Aw Saciid and that telecommunication Company called Telesome which is run by an alien Remote Control stationed in Mogadishu and in the hands of Mr.Ismaciil Jumcaale. Plus those clergy men with the heavy bird who are hoarding money disregarding whether it is a dirty money or not. As a result our kids would be treated as slaves to those above mentioned monopolist of Somaliland economy. Our kids would be regarded as a Second Class citizens due to the hole in their pockets. In the near future, Somaliland will be a hostage for a heartless business men who swallow more than they can chew and choking with their throat. President Bihi, Watch out ! The Government is the first slave to surrender to those kidnappers and monopolists. For Capitalism, war and peace are business. It is the vehicle of savage, destructive nihilism, the rejection of all religious and moral principles. Capitalism encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children in abortion, practice openly adulteration of illegal sex and encourage them to become lesbians. Social Progress can be measured exactly by the Social position of the fair sex, the ugly ones included. Then they call that, the emancipation of women. Dear reader, don’t misjudge me, I am not a chauvinist who is against women. Because, I am an octogenarian who born and raised by a woman. A decent hard working woman who used to wake up early in the morning and sleeps late at night, seven days a week and wearing the Chastity – Belt. Besides that, my role model in life mostly are women. Like Fathuma Said, Canab Cumar Ileeye and Doctor Adna Adan. I love everything they represent and everything they stand for. They are the Icon of hard work, nationalism, honesty, justice and equality. They are more worthy and beneficial than many men. President Musa Bihi, Capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries and evil deeds. Mr. Moron, Trump, the president of the USA, what causes terrorism is not Islam. It is your racism, lack of justice, poverty and your disrespect. While Islam is the fair and equal sharing of blessings and satisfaction. Dear Somalilander, we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom.

Because no man can ride your back unless your back is bent. Communism and Capitalism both are a hammer which the white man use to crush Islam. Both has never come to power in a country that was not disrupted by war

or both. Bear in mind, only Islam can bring social justices, peace and tranquility of the mind. It is the effort to give all human what they need,

and to ask of each the best they can contribute. It is a fair double way of human life. Dear reader,

The ruling ideas of each age have ever been the ideas of it’s ruling Class. Because the World is a mere object to be manipulated by the ruling bureaucrat. The first sign of oppression is, to let the heart of a heartless World to lead you, and the soul of the soulless to guide you. Landlords, like other Warlords, love to reap the harvest where they never sowed. The miser is merely a capitalist that has gone mad, and the capitalist is a rational miser. A Nation’s culture and ethics resides in the hearts and souls of it’s people. There is a scary specter haunting Somaliland, the specter of Capitalism. Using tribalism as a ladder to climb, up stairs, where the Save of the treasury of the State is stationed. In the Soviet Union, Capitalism triumphed over Communism while in Somaliland Tribalism triumphed over Democracy. Under Capitalism, man exploits man, under Communism, the whole nation is exploited and the State stands above all Laws, above all men and their individual aspirations. In both cases, it is the exploitation of the weak by the strong. Dear reader, the meaning of peace to the African Dictators is the absence of opposition to their greed, lust and oppression. In all human history, progress is neither automatic nor inevitable. Every step toward the goal of justice and fairness requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals. Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter to our life. We may have all come from different roots, but now, we are sailing on the same boat. We must learn how to live together as brothers or perish all together as fools. Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. Everything that we see is a shadow casted by that which we don’t see. Every Somalilander must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of a destructive selfishness. Mr. President, the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

To other countries, I may go as a tourist, but in Somaliland, I come as a pilgrim. Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ” What are you doing for others?. ” Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and equality, and when they fail in this purpose they become dangerously structured dams that block the flow of Social Progress. Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal according to his rules. Mr. Musa Bihi, the president of Somaliland, what is important is the quality of one’s rule, not the longevity of his rule. The enemy of Somaliland is not sleeping. It is as always, plotting, scheming, undermining , and fighting us behind the curtain. But turn that damn off. They are An Army of goats that is led by a sheep, but you are a lion leading An Army of lions. They are misguided missiles led by misguided men. We are makers of history and they were made by history. President Musa, I want you to be President Omer Geele’s brother, not his Brother – In – Law. President Omer Geele, you must not only refuse to shoot a man, but you have to refuse to hate him. The moral Arc of the universe bends at the elbow of justice. Remember, your own safety is at stake when your neighbor’s wall is ablaze. A bad neighbor is as a great calamity, as a good one is a great advantage. A good neighbor is a fellow who smiles at you over the back fence, but doesn’t climb over it. You must build the dykes (embankment ) of courage to hold back the flood of fear. Me standing up on my feet, won’t degrade your status as a good neighbor, or decrease your income. A right delayed is a right denied. Bias and jealousy blinds people. I believe much that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. That is why a right cause, temporarily defeated , is stranger than Evil triumphant. The good writer is someone who tears himself to pieces in order to liberate his neighbor. President Geele, the hottest spot in Hell is reserved for those who remain partial in a moral and justice issue. Mr. Geele, whenever we argue over a spilled water my second wife says to me; ” I would rather prefer to be a young man’s slave rather than to be an old man’s darling”.

Dear reader, I chuckle sarcastically whenever i see the Showy Nationalism of the Evil Empire in Mogadishu. It is just a lip service and a silly Cock crowing on his own dunghill. Beating that false drums which lacks the spirit of Nationalism.

Mr. Farmaajo, my son, War was never a lasting solution for any problem. Hold the saddles of your horses back. A pint of sweat for peace saves a gallon of blood. Baby Farmaajo, your Godfather misled you. Bear in mind, in peace, sons bury their fathers but in war fathers bury their sons. Mr. Farmaajo, I don’t blame you because you are a spoiled child by his deceased uncle and you had never looked into the glazed eyes of a soldier dying on the battle field. Mr. Farmaajo, our innocent patriot heroes that had been killed by your late uncle is a debt you can never fully repay. The scars and wounds committed by your uncle are still deeply embedded in our hearts. Please, don’t scratch it.

The president of the Superior Court, Mr. Faysal Haji Ali, your Honor, I am for truth, no matter who tells it. I am for justice, no matter who it’s for or against. At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from Law and Justice he is the worst. Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter to us. Peace and justice are two sides of the same coin. There is a higher court than your court of justice, and that is the court of consciousness. It supersedes all other courts. Your Honor, where justice is denied, is where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe. If you see oppression of the poor, and justice and righteousness trampled in a country, something is fishy and wrong. Wrap up your belongings. Your Honor, how come the value of a tortoise is more valuable than a Somaliland boy? That is a question crying for an answer. That thief that has stolen a tortoise from the jungle has been sentenced two and a half years and those heartless couples who kidnapped and hijacked an innocent underage boy have been jailed the same period. As a parent, imagine the heartbreaking of his parent and their suffering, as well as the torture and ordeal the boy went through. Above that, it is more disgusting the justification of the mouthpiece of the prosecuting section. By arguing that there is no an Article in the Somaliland Criminal Code that is related to the kidnapping of a child, according to his argument in the BBC Radio. That is a degrading and an insult to the Judiciary System of Somaliland. What a crying shame !

Your Honor, I beg your pardon in a voice that can’t be ignored to double judge the authenticity of this case. Thank you in advance.

Yusuf Deyr, Hargeisa, Somaliland
