President Conveys Extra-Ordinary Council of Ministers Meeting

Hargeisa(Horn) Prior to departing to the eastern parts of the country, president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo summoned his ministers to an irregular meeting.

Usual the presidency holds this meeting on Thursday thence the Tuesday meeting come as a surprise for many especially in the cabinet.

The president is reported during the two of the meet to have urged his ministers to ensure that presidential electioneering is conducted peacefully not to mention a transparent poll.

In his address the presidency minister Mahmud Hashi Abdi reiterated the president’s call more so as pertains to patience during the electioneering period.

“More important is to ensure that you don’t use government vehicles during the campaign” said minister Mahmud Hashi

As for the minister of public works and Housing Ali Marehaan the entire cabinet needs to enhance their input into the Kulmiye party campaign efforts thence success come November

“In the last few days I have observed that Opposition Wadani party has hired most hotels in the capital Hargeisa for use by their campaign operatives” said Minister Ali Marehaan adding that for two consecutive days he has been unable to find a suitable place to breakfast owing to the huge influx of Wadani party members.

To lessen the doom painted by the public works  minister was his planning counterpart  Mohamed Ibrahim ‘Qabo’ who opinionated that success is assured Kulmiye party owing to the huge support it has within the country.

Special guest at the meeting was the Kulmiye Party presidential candidate Muse Behi Abdi who urged the ministers to embark on party campaigns in their respective home districts

Though not ascertained it is most likely that this will be the last council of ministers President Silanyo chairs before exiting office immidiately upon election of a predecessor come  13th November 2017.
